Web Developer
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Tech, you will be responsible for a range of web and social media development activities from Facebook landing pages through WordPress customisation to native mobile app development. You will receive briefs and be expected to self-manage your workload to meet deadlines and budgets.
About You
With a solid background in the world of web you will know your Java from your JavaScript and have experience of working with or have had exposure to some or all of the following:
- Standards based web development via (X)HTML and CSS
- JavaScript library frameworks such as JQuery or Prototype
- Content Management Systems (We use WordPress & Concrete5)
- At least one web programming language
- Social Media and Google APIs
- Mobile app development
- Extra brownie points for knowing your way around Adobe graphics apps
You will have an interest in the world of online digital marketing, it’s how we make our money after all. If you don’t know what that is then we’re probably not the right company for you. You should be a great communicator at all levels and take an interest in online social and business networking. You will be joining us at a crucial time in our development and the role really is what you make of it.
We understand you may not have had exposure to all of the above. That’s fine, a desire to learn and a good grounding in some of the required skill set is a good starting point. We’re people people, we hope you are too. We will teach you everything else you need to know about the other software tools we use.
